A front-page print illustration and a series of online 'homepage cards' were created for Stuff's coverage of the Waitangi Day celebrations, commemorating the signing of the Treaty, New Zealand's founding document. The front-page illustration depicts a pōwhiri at Te Tii Marae, paying tribute to the manaakitanga (hospitality) of the mana whenua (Māori tribe) of Waitangi.
